As a group practice, we assure you continuity of care. This means a physician is always available. When one of us is on-call at a hospital, one or more of the others is available here at the office seeing patients.
You may select one of our physicians as your primary obstetrician, who will then oversee and coordinate your prenatal care. Our group shares responsibilities for your obstetrical care; therefore, your office visits will be rotated among the four OB physicians in our group.
For periodic gynecologic checkups and scheduled visits, you may see the physician or nurse practitioner of your choice. There may be times when one of those providers is not in the office. In that case, one of our other providers will be available to care for you.
Office Hours and Appointments
Routine visits are by appointment only. However, we are prepared to handle your urgent care needs either at the office or at the hospital. Office Schedule:
After office hours, or on days when the office is closed, you can reach the physician on-call for emergencies by dialing 273-2835. IF FOR ANY REASON YOU ARE IN DISTRESS AND CANNOT REACH US BY PHONE, CALL TRIAGE UNIT AT WOMEN'S HOSPITAL(336-832-6831), PROCEED IMMEDIATELY TO THE TRIAGE UNIT AT WOMEN'S HOSPITAL, OR CALL 911. To make office appointments, please call 273-2835. Routine medical problems or questions should be addressed during regular office hours. If you call us for an emergency after hours, the answering service will refer your call promptly to the physician on-duty, who will then return your call as quickly as possible. Of course, there will be times when that physician will be caring for other patients, so we ask for your understanding at those times. Office hours by appointment provide the most convenient and best service for you. If you find that you cannot keep your appointment, kindly notify us as soon as possible. This courtesy allows us to provide care for another patient.
Our Specialty
Our practice is geared to the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology - the examination, diagnosis and treatment of women's health issues.
Our physicians have completed at least four years of special training after medical school and they regularly take courses to keep up with the latest advances in this field. Board certification comes from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecologists. Our credentials are available in the office and you are invited to examine them. You can also visit the Physician section on this website and get detailed information on each of our providers.
Although our practice specializes in pregnancy care and gynecologic conditions of the female, we frequently take care of minor and unrelated problems when you are here for one of your visits. However, we encourage you to establish yourself with your own family doctor or internist to handle your non-gynecologic care. If you do not have a family doctor or internist, we will be happy to provide you the names of qualified doctors and will cooperate with them in any way regarding your medical care.
